How to use Outlook Express as
the Default Mail Client?
Did you find that Outlook or
another mail program automatically opens when you click on a
link in a webpage for sending an email? But you just want to use
Outlook Express.
The problem will occur when Outlook
Express is not registered as your default e-mail program or an
entry for the default mail client is missing in the Microsoft
Windows registry.
To solve the problem, you
should register Outlook Express as the default e-mail program.
Please use one of the following methods:
1.In Windows Desktop
Click Start.
Click Run.
type this command, with the double quotes and spaces:
"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /reg
2.open Outlook Express
In Outlook Express, click
Tools.
Then click Options.
On the General tab, the Default Messaging Programs section states
"Outlook Express is NOT the default mail handler", click Make
Default, and then click OK.
Try to send mail from a link or another program.
